An "Official" draft of a New Constitution
for the United Grand Lodge Victoria for consideration, and no doubt feedback
and review, has been released. Following that, our Lodge Newsletter (Devotion News) published articles
about Constitutional Review and these sparked interest and enthusiasm. This saw a new "Unofficial" Draft Constitution conceived and has been further developed.
I suspect that some members
would like to see a structural change rather than just a reshuffle of
what is already in place. I am yet to form a view on this, but know that
healthy organizations deal with "big questions" through healthy
discourse and critical thought - and I think both drafts are offered in
attempts to do this. This reflects the healthy state of Masonic Discourse in Victoria. At the request of our
members, I have just uploaded this unseen "unofficial" project on our
website to share for reflection and consideration. You can view a
current version of it by clicking here. The draft notes; Note: This is a private Project with no UGLV standing. It is work in progress and will be progressively updated on this web site as inputs are received. Further; The views and opinions expressed in any and all articles in this Newsletter are purely those of the authors and do not necessarily reflect the official policy or position of any Freemasons or Masonic Body, including but not limited to the United Grand Lodge of Victoria, Freemasons Victoria, and Lodge Devotion; including our Master and members, and any compilers and editors of Devotion News.
